"It's nothing really," says bassist Wyll Maynard.  "We just put in our entire beings into this record and it's pretty much the best thing ever."

When asked to comment on the record, Francis Leonard was ecstatic.  "We haven't recorded anything like this since Random Adventures in Space.  And that was like four whole months ago."

Like previous releases, The Secondhandpants have made their new album "Space Radio Mission" available for free on this website.  They will be throwing a huge party later today to celebrate this monumental occasion.  Coverage to follow.

Science-Folktion Jukebox Sideshow Saves Fringe Festival Attendees from Moist Clothes, Extreme Boredom

During one of their performances, Science-Folktioneers The Secondhandpants sprang into action covering their small audience with their space-age plastic sheet when a deluge of rain surprised attendees of this year's Winnipeg Folk Festival.

"Our audience is always right, usually," said bassist Wyll Maynard when asked why they bothered to help their fans.  "But sometimes they will pick a 'Happy' song like five times in a row.  That's just wrong.  It's hard to maintain that level of emotion for so long."

After the rain cleared, it took Fringe Festival mainstage organizers 20 minutes or so to get back on track.  The Secondhandpants once again jumped at the opportunity to offer their humble services to the entertainment-starved humans wandering aimlessly around the Old Market Square and began performing genre bending music within seconds.

Here's a clip of them playing Space Traveler:
